At Marques Almeida they have a will and a passion to make fashion inclusive, diverse and relevant for girls and women today. Thats why each season they cast MA girls to walk the show, girls found via Instagram and on street casting and this season Marta and Paulo even got inspired by cues from the Instagram posts of their MA girls of things such as motorcyclists, Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fiennes in “Shakespeare in Love”. Marques Almeida hope to empower generations of girls to do great things and feel represented and supported through fashion and many other ways. And they do know how to design clothes to empower us girls, feel ourselves, have attitude and express our personality. This season they also collaborated with fashion-designer-turned-artist Louise Gray, whose artworks and empowering slogans like “Power Woman” or “Open Your Own Door” popped up on oversize sweatshirts.
